Senior Interaction Designer
Layar is seeking a creative and highly motivated senior interaction designer to join our design team.Are you the kick-ass interaction designer we are looking for? That dude or dudette that feels very comfortable working between the lines of design, product management and development on the bleeding edge of the emerging medium of augmented reality? That someone that translates great ideas into world class interaction designs.You are crucial in the process of further developing our great product. You are amazing in making elaborate user flows. Also you can stand in front of a crowd to guide them through your great ideas to make Layar better. You have a great portfolio of work and it is easy to see that you know mobile and care about our user. If you also are a sci-fi lover and have experience with game design just show up and don’t even bother to make an appointment
Key Responsibilities
- Lead collaborative design sessions
- Sketch interaction design concepts
- Create prototypes
- Document interaction designs
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in the fields of interaction design, interface design and/or user experience design
- Able to document and communicate designs effectively and clearly while respecting deadlines
- Great communicator; able to speak the language of business, art and engineering
- Excellent sketching skills
- Experience with Game Design is a plus
- Experience with leading workshops and collaborative design sessions
- Experience with performing user research
- Flexibility to deal with a rapidly changing work environment
- Passionate about good design
- Fluent in English, spoken and written
- Work to be done in Amsterdam, Netherlands
- Experience with interaction design for mobile devices (web and/or software)
- Experience with design for games and play
